The W. H. Lewis Home (1927)

This Prairie style home at 4026 Lakewood Drive was the first home built in Lakewood. Original owner, W. H. Lewis, was was a civic leader, President of the First National Bank of Bessemer, and founder of Lakewood Estates.
The home is currently being renovated by David Smith.
Upon entering, the grandness of the house is seen in its gracious floor plan, lovely staircase, and original walnut doors and trim. The property overlooks the lake and has a breathtaking view. The house has approximately 6400 square fee and has had two additions since it was built.
Refreshments and restrooms are available at the house during the Lakewood Home Tour.
